📊 TPA SENIOR RANKING POINTS SYSTEM 2026
This points system applies equally to all four Senior categories.
The structure is designed to reward performance in every round, including consolation, maintaining competitive value until the final match.
Senior TPA will not applie to TPA “The Race” 2026 Rankings.
🏅 POINTS DISTRIBUTION (Per Category)
🥇 Winner → 600 pts
🥈 Finalist → 500 pts
🥉 Semifinalists → 400 pts
🏅 Quarterfinalists → 300 pts
📌 Round of 16 → 200 pts
📌 Round of 32 → 100 pts
🎯 Consolation Winner → +50 pts of rhe round
(example, start playing Round of 16 and you win consolation, you get 250 pts)
🔚 Consolation Loser → same pts as the lost round
(example, start playing Round of 16 and you lose consolation, you get 200 pts)
This system applies to:
Male 40+
Male 50+
Female 40+
Female 50+
All points count only toward the official TPA Senior Ranking 2026.

Star Point scoring
Tie-break to 7 points at 6–6
Consolation
Only 1 match
Played between first-round losers
Ensures minimum 2 matches per team
This structure guarantees competitive experience and ranking opportunities for all players.

TPA SENIOR MASTERS OPEN 2026
Official Rule Book
Thailand Padel Association (TPA)
This rule book applies to the following official Senior Categories:
Male 40+
Male 50+
Female 40+
Female 50+
All categories follow the same competition structure and regulations unless otherwise announced by the Tournament Director.
1. Eligibility & Age Categories
Age Requirement
Male 40+ / Female 40+: Players must turn 40 during the calendar year 2026 or be older.
Male 50+ / Female 50+: Players must turn 50 during the calendar year 2026 or be older.
Players may compete only in the category that corresponds to their age group.
All players must hold a valid TPA registration for the 2026 season.
2. Tournament Structure
Main Draw: 32 Couples
Each Senior category will have:
32 couples in the Main Draw.
If registrations exceed 32 couples, qualification rounds will be played.
Main Draw Composition
26 couples directly accepted based on official TPA Senior Ranking.
2 Wildcards granted by TPA.
4 Qualifier winners advancing to the Main Draw.
Lucky Loser draw (if needed).
If total entries are below 32 couples, the Main Draw will be completed according to registration order and ranking priority.
3. Seeding System (All Senior Categories)
The tournament applies a seeding system to ensure competitive balance.
Seed Placement
Seed 1 → Top of the draw.
Seed 2 → Bottom of the draw.
Seeds 3 and 4 → Randomly drawn into:
Position 8, or
Position 9.
Seeds 5 and Below
Seeds 5 onward are placed by lucky draw.
Placement follows a top-to-bottom sequence in the draw.
Seeds are determined strictly according to the official TPA Senior Ranking at the closing date of registrations.
4. Qualifying Rounds
If more than 32 couples register in a category:
The lowest-ranked couples will enter qualification.
Qualifiers compete for the available Main Draw spots.
The number of qualifying rounds depends on total registrations.
Example (40 registered couples)
26 direct entries by ranking.
2 wildcards.
4 qualifier winners.
Lucky Loser draw if necessary.
The qualification format (draw size and match format) will be announced before the event.
5. BYE Allocation
If the Main Draw is not complete, BYEs will be assigned in the following order:
First BYE → Seed 1
Second BYE → Seed 2
Third BYE → Seed 3
Fourth BYE → Seed 4
Continue following seed order if more BYEs are required.
6. Draw Procedure
The official draw will follow this order:
Seeds determined based on official TPA Senior Ranking.
Seeds 1 and 2 placed directly in fixed positions.
Seeds 3 and 4 drawn randomly into designated positions.
Seeds 5 and below drawn sequentially.
Remaining positions filled by:
Direct entries (non-seeded couples),
Qualifier winners,
Lucky Losers (if applicable).
The draw ceremony may be conducted publicly or digitally and will be officially validated by TPA.
7. Match Format
(Standard TPA Format – unless otherwise announced)
All matches will be played:
Best of 3 sets.
Official FIP standard scoring system.
Tie-break at 6–6 in all sets.
In case of extreme weather conditions or scheduling constraints, the Tournament Director may adapt the format (e.g., third set super tie-break), and players will be informed in advance.
8. Scheduling & Timing
Match schedules will be published the day before competition.
Players must be ready to play 30 minutes before their scheduled time.
A delay of 15 minutes after official call may result in a walkover.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust match times for operational or weather reasons.
9. Wildcards
TPA reserves the right to grant 2 wildcards per category.
Wildcards may be awarded based on:
Sporting merit.
Promotion of senior padel development.
Strategic value for the tournament.
10. Lucky Loser Procedure
If a Main Draw couple withdraws after the qualification phase:
A Lucky Loser will be selected among the final-round qualification losers.
Selection will be done by draw.
11. Code of Conduct
All players must:
Respect TPA regulations.
Show professional behavior on and off court.
Respect opponents, referees, staff, and spectators.
Penalties may include:
Warning.
Point deduction.
Game penalty.
Match penalty.
Disqualification.
Repeated misconduct may affect future TPA participation.
12. Branding & Equipment
Only FIP and TPA approved logos are allowed.
Logos from other international tours outside FIP & TPA are not accepted.
Official tournament ball will be announced prior to the event.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute not covered in this rule book will be resolved by the Tournament Director in accordance with TPA regulations.
All decisions are final.
